In addition to music, the 10th edition of the Nando-sponsored event will feature discussions on creative enterprise, workshops, design and art.
Sounds of Freedom Music Festival (October 29)
The musical performances will be held under the banner “Sounds of Freedom Music Festival”, which was organized to provide a platform for upcoming artists. The music festival will open on October 29 at 10 a.m. with talent selected by Bridges for music with performances by amapiano bands Aymos and Basetana, as well as Bridges Academy alumni Kallo, DJ Frigid Armadillo and DJ Phodii.
There will also be performances by Nandoca Uhurus, who is part of Nando’s in-house musical talent development program. This year they will receive mentorship from Msaki and Bonga Kwana, and will not only perform on the main stage, but attend all music workshops and panel discussions to help nurture and develop their skills.
Feeding creativity during the week of conferences (October 25 to 28)
The Basha Uhuru Festival is a global creative showcase, designed to give creatives and aspiring creatives the opportunity to come together, be inspired, showcase their talents and nurture their creativity. Each day of the conference week will offer a particular creative focus through masterclasses, round tables, workshops and dialogues. Attendees will be able to purchase tickets for each day, allowing them to select the sessions most relevant to them.
