300 leaders collaborate to move South Africa forward

  • 5000 executives, professionals and entrepreneurs are gearing up to attend Leaderex 2022 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
  • 20 talks to tackle the hot topics of economics, leadership, digital transformation, skills development, entrepreneurship and nation building.

After a two-year hiatus, South Africa’s premier trade event will take place over three days from September 13-15, 2022 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Designed to provide executives, professionals and entrepreneurs with insight into industry challenges and trends, Leaderex 2022 will feature 300 of the country’s top thought leaders, 20 conferences and more than 100 masterclasses.

This year, the event focuses on creating a space for attendees to expand their networks, explore new opportunities and leverage their skills and expertise. The program includes several niche categories, all of which are highly relevant to leaders in today’s fractured and complex sociopolitical world.

Day 1 kicks off with a focus on leadership, HR, skills and digital transformation; day 2 focuses on entrepreneurship, e-commerce and marketing; while day 3 will focus on economics, saving and investing, and financial planning.

The current uncertainty that dominates South Africa through shedding, politics and corruption will be part of the discussions, allowing leaders to connect on real issues and formulate relevant responses.

The event has an impressive list of sponsors which includes the JSE as the main sponsor, the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), the Institute of Directors of South Africa (IoDSA) and the Southern African Financial Planning Institute (FPI).

“Over the years, Leaderex has established itself as a must-attend networking event for high-level executives, academics, business owners and out-of-the-box thinkers,” says Clea Dias, chief marketing officer at the Gordon Institute of Business. Science. . “We believe this is a valuable audience that we would like to talk, dialogue and debate with. It is a dynamic environment for networking and provides attendees with the opportunity to walk into the room with actors keys to the South African business environment.

Among Natesan, CEO of IoDSA, agrees: “The Institute of Directors has always viewed the Leaderex event as a great opportunity to network and showcase products and services to professionals.

In addition to networking, leaders and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of finance and investing, crucial imperatives in a market plagued by volatility and complexity.

“At JSE, educating South Africans about financial markets is a key goal for us, as it gives ownership of their financial journey. JSE’s collaboration with platforms such as Leaderex opens doors for us to educate more South Africans about investing in the stock market and getting started on your investment journey,” says Vuyo Lee, Director of Marketing and Business General of the JSE.

And financial planning will be an aligned theme. As David Kop, CFP, HOD puts it: Policy and Engagement at FPI, “FPI has been part of Leaderex since 2016. It’s a fantastic platform for us to engage with industry leaders and for us to show what what is financial planning. Attendees are engaging and enjoy both the discussions and the free financial planning sessions offered. We encourage everyone to attend Leaderex and come and learn about financial planning, as well as all the other opportunities available.

With 300 speakers at this year’s Leaderex, there will be something for any executive or professional at every stage of their career. Admission is free if you register on www.leaderex.com using DailyMaverick as an invite code. DM/BM
