The traveling group from Munster left Ireland for South Africa on Sunday ahead of the province’s next two-game tour of the United Rugby Championship.
Munster take on the Vodacom Bulls in Pretoria this Saturday at 2.05pm Irish time (4.05pm local time).
Johann van Graan’s side will then face the Emirates Lions the following Saturday (March 19) in Johannesburg at 12:00 noon Irish time (2:00 p.m. local).
Jack O’Donoghue will captain the 33-man traveling squad which includes six members of the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy.
Academy Forwards Scott Buckley (hooker), Marc Donnelly (to support), Cian Hurley (lock), Eoin O’Connor (lock) and alex kendellen (back row) travels with scrum-half Paddy Patterson.
Shannon RFC Aran Hehirwho joined the team as scrum-half cover in recent weeks, is also part of the traveling squad.
A positive step for Damien d’Allende sees the center traveling with the team to South Africa as he recovers from an abdominal injury.
Jeremy Loughman did not travel after being called up to the senior Ireland squad for the first time with Craig Casey and Gavin Combes return to the international camp.
