1. Shanti Festival

The Shanti Festival is happening again in Hout Bay this weekend. So if you’re looking for a place to get a massage, dip in a pool and enjoy some great food – this might be it. Sar-Jaybe chats with organizer Danielle Boden.

There are lots of different classes like yoga, meditation, as well as a sound journey with gongs and drums, says Danielle.

It’s kid-friendly and there are two childminders and a children’s yoga class.

It takes place at the Riverside Retirement Village, Hout Bay

2. Gregg Pettigrew, director of Love, Valour, Compassion

Tony Award-winning piece “Love, Valour, Compassion” premieres at Artscape. Here to give us all the details, director Gregg Pettigrew.

The play won the Tony Award in 1994. It is a story of love and laughter and above all of relationships. Although it revolves around eight gay men, it is relevant regardless of your sexual orientation.

Does it make you think? It’s indeed, it won’t let you jump and dance out of the theater, it’s a very real ending.

It’s an ensemble cast with seven actors, one of them plays twins so 8 characters.

3. Chubby Girls Hike Heads to Cecelia Forest

If you hurry, you can catch Hike for Chubby Girls on Insta hiking Cecelia Forest starting at 8:15 a.m. today.

They meet in the parking lot of Cecelia Forest. Founder Amanda Rinquest says it’s not a difficult walk but it’s not for absolute beginners as it’s a bit long, about 2.5 hours max.
