DStv Premiership v Mamelodi Sundowns

The Orlando Pirates are taking a good form in their clash with Mamelodi Sundowns and are likely to change little.

Prediction XI for the Orlando Pirates

In goals, Siyabonga Mpontshane did well in Richard Ofori’s absence and is expected to continue with the Ghanaian sidelined.

At the back, Bandile Shandu and Paseka Mako showed their shine and both players deserve an extended run in the wide areas.

Happy Jele and Thulani Hlatshwayo form the strong backbone of the Orlando Pirates who have started the season quite well but can go on top with a win over Mamelodi Sundowns.

Abel Mabaso has been effectively converted to a defensive midfielder and this role should see the Orlando Pirates field another offensive threat.

Ntsako Makhubele could make way for a more attacking player at Fortune Makaringe, while Mabaso would team up with Goodman Mosele in midfield.

Vincent Pule and Tshegofatso Mabasa should have done enough to secure their place in the Orlando Pirates’ starting XI, but Kabelo Dlamini could be asked to give way to Terrence Dzvukamanja.

Planned starting eleven

Starting XI of the Orlando Pirates: Siyabonga Mpontshane, Bandile Shandu, Paseka Mako, Happy Jele, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Abel Mabasa, Goodman Mosele, Fortune Makaringe, Vincent Pule, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Terrence Dzvukamanja.

Starting XI confirmed
