We have a fabulous job opportunity for a dynamic Account Manager to join the Customer Service team at a creative agency office in Cape Town. This exciting position will allow you to work for one of the agency’s longest-serving clients, doing e-learning and internal communications. You will report directly to an account manager. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic brand partnership relationships with the Company’s clients. The incumbent must demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit in order to develop relationships with current and potential clients. You will manage the conception and conception process; take the client’s brief and ensure he is well informed in the company. The successful candidate will take ownership of the allocated campaigns / projects in order to produce professional and creative campaign plans and / or solutions. The position will work in conjunction with the Account Director, Studio and Project Management team to provide clients with high quality deliverables, on time, on budget, cost effective, ensuring overall client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Customer services

  • Manage customer expectations, goals and deadlines on a daily basis
  • Resolve issues with the client and leverage the ability to push back and deliver difficult news
  • Research and write concept notes
  • Foster personal knowledge of the client and their interests: Take responsibility for recognizing the client on notable days or occasions on behalf of the Company
  • Understand customer strategies, business issues / challenges and briefs, and translate them into briefs and internal review discussions
  • Compile strategically directed briefs relevant to the brand and business issues and follow the operational process thereafter
  • Stay up to date on clients’ brand (both locally and globally where applicable)
  • Help guide and influence customer strategies and branding plans
  • Identify campaign and service opportunities that will lead to increased sales
  • Show a sense of ownership and management over all assigned brand and campaign work
  • Compile in-depth post-project analysis, showing all results and project results with recommendations for the future
  • Ensure that the project management team respects the planned deadlines. Update the customer throughout the production process
  • Ensure that status documents are updated prior to all meetings with clients and that the project management team provide updated project schedules
  • Communicate project progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key metrics to the account manager
  • Validate the client brief thanks to a global understanding of the project’s requirements, objectives and deadlines
  • Work with the project management team to ensure client files are loaded into the system
  • Obtain written submissions and confirmation of client approvals
  • Act as a liaison between the company and the client by creating and maintaining clear and quality lines of communication between the client and internal teams
  • Deliver the required work on time, the first time, to ensure the highest possible levels of quality, excellence and service
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to fully understand customer briefs
  • Contribute to the development of creative concepts and pre / post research (if applicable)
  • Ensure that the project management team and the Studio have a good understanding of the campaign
  • Ensure that the project management team has created status documents and that they are kept up to date
  • Work with the project management team to produce a project plan and timelines for each campaign
  • Assist in the implementation of the customer loyalty strategy
  • Achieve customer satisfaction goals

New business development

  • Be aware of potential new opportunities for the business within existing / permanent clients
  • Sell ​​the company’s offerings (if any) to existing customers
  • Assist the Account Manager in ensuring that new project-based clients continue to use company services after the initial campaign ends (once)
  • Stay on top of brand and industry trends and news by subscribing and reading relevant publications and online platforms

Operations

  • Adhere to and maintain all operational, financial, planning and creative business processes
  • Proficient in the company’s operating system, such as ensuring timesheets are loaded on time, receiving and responding to tasks, uploading all job briefs, instructions and financial administration, etc.
  • Be organized in the management of the workload entrusted to it and in the management of its collateral classification and safeguard system

Finance

  • Establish all customer invoices according to the company’s financial process
  • Ensure all purchase orders and payment are received from customer on time and escalate if necessary

Various

  • Assist in the growth and training of client services team members
  • Supervise and coach the more junior members of the client services team on briefs, clients and projects
  • Receive constructive feedback and use it to grow and improve
