Your main responsibilities as Managing Director (@Roland Stanley) in Johannesburg will include:

  • Communicate, on behalf of the company, with shareholders, government entities and the public
  • Develop high quality strategies and business plans ensuring their alignment with short and long term goals
  • Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing leadership team
  • Oversee all business operations and activities to ensure they produce desired results and are consistent with overall strategy and mission
  • Keep abreast of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, etc.
  • Ensure the company maintains high social responsibility wherever it operates
  • Make high quality investment decisions to move the business forward and increase profits
  • Enforce legal guidelines and internal policies to maintain the legality and ethics of the company’s business
  • Examine financial and non-financial reports to find solutions or improvements
  • Analyze problematic situations and events and provide solutions to ensure the survival and growth of the company
  • Assess business risks and ensure they are monitored and minimized
  • Set strategic goals and make sure they are measurable and describable

Requirements for this Managing Director position (@Roland Stanley) in Johannesburg:

  • Must have knowledge of the South African financial market with an experience of 8-10 years
  • 4 years of management experience
  • Management of the income statement
  • Proven track record of successfully running a finance company in South Africa
  • Ability to manage a business and teams in a dynamic, forward-thinking and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ready to aggressively lead the expansion of the business
  • Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing a vision
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the financial industry
