Global Forwarding South Africa acquires STACKS South Africa

Integrated Service Solutions – Global Forwarding will welcome the entire STACKS South Africa team to its Cape Town office at the end of this month.

From June 1, STACKS will operate under ISS – Global Forwarding from the ISS office in Plattekloof, Cape Town. This acquisition is the first transaction in a global agreement between STACKS Africa and the ISS – Global Forwarding Group, headquartered in Dubai. The acquisition will exclude the vertical transport agencies of STACKS which will continue to operate under the BBULK brand.

ISS – GF South Africa was born from the integration of the South African forwarding agent, Global Logistics Alliance (Pty) Ltd, and ISS-GF in Dubai. ISS-GF is part of the ISS (Investment Corporation of Dubai), which is the sovereign wealth fund of the government of Dubai. ISS – GF South Africa will become a merger of shareholders of ISS-GF Dubai, Global Logistics Alliance (Pty) Ltd and STACKS South Africa.

The ISS-GF network spans 35 countries around the world. Part of ISS-GF’s ambitious growth strategy is to expand its global network with a focus on Africa. To strengthen ISS Global Forwarding’s presence in West Africa, a joint venture between ISS and STACKS Africa in Ghana and Ivory Coast will be the next step, followed by further network expansion in the region.

In addition to the portfolio and presence of STACKS Africa in Africa, STACKS South Africa will add service offerings with new verticals including Perishables and Liquid Bulk as a proud agent of Van den Bosch in South Africa and TRUST Flexitanks .

ISS – GF South Africa is well known for being a project powerhouse that continues to dominate the renewable energy sector, this acquisition will further expand the ISS portfolio. STACKS has successfully managed many projects including the Kin Oasis Mall, Kinshasa and Golf Mall, Lubumbashi in DRC as well as a hydroelectric power station in Rwanda and gold mining projects in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.

Giuseppe Arnoldi & Olivier Vanreusel structured this unique integration so that each team member is an asset, each with an exclusive function. The ISS-GF and STACKS SA teams both strive to achieve a seamless transition by integrating under the ISS brand.

ISS-GF South Africa looks forward to this growth and the exciting opportunities ahead.
