Verizon’s love-hate affair with handsets
We have read in the past about Verizon offers different handsets for its users. The iPhone 7 is no exception to the same. The company participated in the Nomura Media, Telecom and Internet conference. He also had a one-on-one conversation at the event. At that time, the first reports of explosion of Galaxy Note 7 devices were heard. A few weeks later, Samsung itself requested the recall of all of these devices. Nomura felt that over 1 million units have been sold to end consumers.
American operators have been taking pre-orders since early August. Samsung said in a separate statement that it has launched an in-country trade-in program for the Note 7. Major U.S. retailers Best Buy and Target have also said they have halted sales of the Note 7. Verizon said if a customer wanted to return or exchange the Galaxy Note 7, it would be possible. The company is reportedly waiving restocking fees it charges customers until September 30.
T-Mobile United States is majority owned by Deutsche Telekom and also issued a statement. He said he would also waive restocking and shipping charges to customers who wish to return the recalled phone.
As for the iPhone 7, we also read a few events about the device explosion. However, such events are rare and distant from each other. They also won’t have much of an effect on Verizon directly. In fact, they can barely affect Apple as well. Verizon has its own issues to deal with. And these are visible in its stock market race for a few months.
