PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Department of Parks and Recreation announces that the Cove Point and Kings Landing pools are available to residents of Calvert County for free swimming. Participation in the freestyle is available by reservation only.
Each pool will offer three two-hour open swimming sessions per day from noon to 2 p.m., from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Capacity is limited for each session to allow adequate physical distance. Thirty minutes are allotted between sessions for cleaning and sanitation.
Leisure and competition pools at Cove Point have strict capacity limits which will be enforced on a first come, first served basis. The slides at the Cove Point pool will be open; the paddling pool remains closed until further notice.
Citizens can register online for freestyle online through the WebTrac registration system at https://webtrac.co.cal.md.us/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/splash.html. The activity number is 720,000 for the Kings Landing Pool and 730,000 for the Cove Point Pool. Walk-ins will not be allowed. Entrance fees to the residents’ pool apply.
